We are currently recruiting for the following role(s):

Sales Ledger Administrator

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join our busy credit control function. The role is an integral part of the credit control team providing critical administrative support to the Team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Account Applications – Loading new applications to NAV and saving to customer card
- Banking – Daily bank balances report, posting the daily banking (multi-currency) and allocating payments including following up on any missing remittances
- Credit Card – Posting and allocating all payments, reconciling the card payments to third party reports
- Cheque Payments – Batch up, post and allocate all payments, deposit at bank
- Unapplied Cash – Reconciliation and reduction of all unapplied cash  
- Statements – Generating monthly statements in PDF and Excel as required including reconciling email statement run and updating email addresses on NAV
- Direct Debit – Maintaining the Direct Debit environment, loading new mandates, generating, reconciling, processing and posting bi-monthly Direct Debit runs for UK & Ireland
- Credit Control Inbox – Managing all emails, responding (i.e. copy docs), filing & escalating as required
-Staff Sales Accounts – Creating and reconciling monthly report for Human Resources detailing amounts to be deducted from salary in respect of staff discounted purchases of wine
- Customer Card – Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the customer card including reviewing portfolio, ensuring credit held status on customer card is appropriate
- Debt Chasing – Providing support to controllers to collect customer debt by phone and email in accordance with the credit policy
- Ad Hoc – Supporting credit control and finance team as required

Skills & Experience:

Administrative experience required, preferably in credit control
- Strong IT skills including Excel (Vlookup & Pivot Tables) with Microsoft NAV an advantage
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong Team player
- Wine knowledge is not essential but a willingness to learn is encouraged

Senior Credit Controller

An opportunity has arisen for a results driven, dynamic individual to join our busy Credit Control team. The role is an integral part of the Credit Control team which manage over 2,500 accounts and growing every month.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management

- Own and manage an individual portfolio of 900 Accounts and £5m
- Working to monthly and annual Individual and Team Targets for Cash Collection, Debt Reduction and Unapplied Cash 
- Liaising with the Sales and Customer Service teams on credit control issues
- Reviewing and managing Customer Orders in a Credit Held status
- Managing and escalating Overdue accounts
- Continuous Credit Risk Assessment on new and existing customers
- Chasing overdue debts in the UK and Ireland by phone, email & letter in accordance with Liberty Credit Policy

Sales Ledger Administration

- Processing new account applications
- Posting the daily banking and allocations of payments on a rota basis
- Generating Monthly Statements in pdf and Excel as required
- Processing and Posting bi-monthly Direct Debit runs
- Manage as part of the Credit Team the Credit Control Inbox

Skills & Experience:

- Credit Control experience required, wine industry experience beneficial but not essential
- Strong IT skills including Excel (Vlookup & Pivot Tables) & Microsoft NAV an advantage

Warehouse Early Shift Team Leader

An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Early Shift Team Leader to join our busy Warehouse & Distribution team. Reporting to the Warehouse and Distribution Manager, this role will have responsibility for the following:

People Management

Manage the early morning picking operation including:

- Assisting with planning of staff rotas
- Ensure picking accuracy and efficiency
- Assisting with co-ordination of unloading and put away of daily replenishment stock
- Coordinating van loading
- Implementing continuous improvement ideas with warehouse staff
- Assisting in leading team meetings and briefings

Warehouse

Picking and preparation of orders for despatch
- Vehicle loading and unloading (hand ball and forklift)
- Liaising with Customer Services, and other internal departments, to ensure all queries/customer enquiries are resolved within service levels
- Ensuring service standards are maintained, work processes are followed, and are continually monitored to be improved
- Communicating issues for handover to the afternoon team

Health & Safety

Skills & Experience:

Brand Manager – Piper Heidsieck and Rare Champagne

We are looking for an experienced, commercially-minded Brand Manager to work with and create value for leading Grande Marques Champagne brands based at one of the UK’s most dynamic wine distributors.

The day to day role is extremely varied, primarily office-based in our Clapham office, but with regular travel around the UK and Ireland, and to Europe. The busy year’s schedule includes regular events presenting to wine trade professionals and consumers, visits to producers, creating and implementing brand plans and budgets, managing allocations / stock.

Supporting the Sales teams to help drive sustainable sales of the wines in the appropriate channels and build brand equity to ensure their success in the market.

The Role (key tasks):

- Strategy:

  • Develop annual brand plans in coordination with the Senior Brand Manager in accordance with brand, sales and financial targets and in line with global strategies
  • Be responsible for communication and custodianship of brand strategies internally

- Marketing & Events:

  • Drive and execute marketing plans to increase brand awareness and desirability
  • Lead product and product launches
  • Manage the A&P budgets of each brand
  • Work with the Brand Ambassador to set objectives with Liberty Wines sales teams, jointly developing customer strategies for channels and key accounts
  • Ensure all programmes are delivered on budget and on time
  • Evaluate the performance of the brand activations, proposing improvements and changes as a result of their understanding

- Trade Marketing:

  • Support Liberty Wines’ sales teams to achieve targets
  • Create and execute specific activation plan for each multiple retailer in coordination with the national accounts team
  • Create impactful brand visibilities for customers (windows, terraces…)
  • Develop relevant sales tools
  • Manage POS orders and usage and develop local POS materials when needed

- Communications:

  • Oversee and assume overall responsibility for all communications and events activity
  • Develop strong integrated communication strategies (ATL, BTL and TTL) in coordination with Senior Brand Manager, PR agency as well as Liberty Wines internal communications team
  • Brief and appoint a PR agency to execute communications strategies with a strong focus on digital
  • Work closely with Liberty Wines communications team to raise the profile of Piper-Heidsieck in the wine and trade press
  • Oversee/sign off all communications relating to producers, including fact sheets, website content and price lists

- Distribution:

  • Forecast volumes alongside Piper-Heidsieck Brand Ambassador and Senior Brand Manager and build the channel strategy for both brand
  • Communicate the channel strategy with the relevant sales team

- Reporting:

  • Monthly depletions reporting (internally and externally)
  • Quarterly business review with Maisons and Senior Brand Manager
  • Relevant measurement of all activities
  • Use this commercial insight to direct sales accordingly, setting priorities in line with Liberty Wines’ corporate objectives
  • Work closely with Director of Insights to track external data where available and understand the brand’s performance versus the category and competitors
  • Identify and highlight relevant competitor activity to buying team and sales for effective gap analysis and give the sales team the tools to objection handle effectively
  • Communicate relevant category developments in UK and Ireland markets

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years brand management experience
  • Highly numerate – strong analytically with good problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Experience in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Highly organised with prioritisation skills
  • Wine enthusiast with excellent knowledge of wine
  • Experience in supplier management working professionally with people of different cultures
