Accounts Assistant

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy Finance team reporting to the Senior Management Accountant. The role is an integral part of the Finance team supporting the maintenance of the accounts payable function.

Key Responsibilities:

- Matching, batching and coding high volume purchase ledger invoices
- Processing payment runs and issuing remittances in different currencies for the UK company and its subsidiaries
- Reconciling supplier statements and dealing with queries
- Raising recharge invoices and monitoring supplier contra account
- Assisting Finance team with various duties – eg processing expenses, credit cards bills, petty cash, bank and other balance sheet reconciliations.

Skills & Experience:

- Experience in purchase ledger or within a Finance team essential
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- High level of accuracy, proactive
- Numerate with strong IT skills including Excel
- Ability to prioritise
- Effective communicator
- Team player

Wine knowledge is not a pre-requisite but a willingness to learn is.

Customer Services Assistant

An opportunity has arisen for a Customer Services Assistant to work in our vibrant Customer Services department. This role is the first point of contact for our wide range of customers and is responsible for delivering the great service that Liberty Wines takes pride in.

Working as part of a close-knit team, we need people who are willing to go the extra mile to ensure exemplary service to each and every customer.

Skills & Experience:

Events Manager

We are currently recruiting a highly organised and experienced Events Manager to project manage and deliver all Liberty Wines events. These range from large, high profile portfolio tastings in London and Ireland, our annual Roadshows, through to smaller, specialist events and masterclasses throughout the year.

The successful candidate will manage an Events Co-ordinator and work closely with the Brand Management and Buying teams to plan and execute our tastings. Creation and management of the Events budget is also a key part of the role.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

- A minimum of two years’ events management experience
- Proven experience in budget management
- Excellent project management skills
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail
- Good communication skills with both internal and external contacts
- Excellent Excel and database skills

Desirable:

- Good wine knowledge (WSET level 3 preferable)
- Previous experience of managing an events team
- Languages (French, Italian or Spanish)

National Accounts Manager – Online and Wine Clubs

We are currently recruiting a National Accounts Manager to join our newly-created Online and Wine Clubs team to support the evolution of Liberty Wines’ proposition to this rapidly growing channel.

Developing new business with established and emerging accounts, you will have responsibility for building strong multi-level relationships both within the business and with key buyers.  Taking full P&L responsibility for performance across a number of key accounts in order to achieve agreed sales targets as well as developing JBPs, driving NPD and monitoring performance. 

Working closely with internal teams to agree and implement account strategies ensuring first class customer service, this role will also liaise directly with producers to negotiate pricing, manage own-label and NPD.

The successful candidate will understand the business model, customer and wine trends in the online, club and delivered to customer channels to maximise opportunities.

Skills & Experience:

Sales negotiation experience ideally with UK multiple grocers / multiple off- trade or at least 2 years’ experience in a relevant sales role
- Self-motivated with highly developed planning and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- High level of numeracy
- Flexible, responsive and a team player
- A good level of wine knowledge, preferably minimum WSET Advanced level
- Languages are an advantage

National Accounts Manager – On-trade

The National Accounts team at Liberty Wines is developing at a fast pace and we are looking for a National Account Manager – On-trade to join our friendly team; a dynamic individual with a real passion for wine, strong ethos and an eye for detail.

The Role:

Managing a number of key national on-trade accounts to achieve annual budgets
- Actively pursuing new business in an effective manner including leading and winning new business tenders
- Planning and implementing sales strategies/joint business plans
- Responsibility for pricing, budgets and margins
- Liaising directly with producers to negotiate pricing, manage own-label and NPD
- Maintaining relationships within Liberty Wines to help with the smooth-running of customer accounts; stock forecasting, shipping, brand planning, account admin
- Leveraging relationships across all levels in order to achieve the best results

Skills & Experience:

Sales experience ideally within the UK National On-trade or other relevant sales role
- Experience of working on new business tenders
- Organised and self-motivated
- Knowledge of the UK eating out market

Warehouse Assistant (Evening Shift)

An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Assistant to join our team.   Reporting directly to the Warehouse Assistant Manager, the role will have responsibility for the following:

Warehouse

-Picking and preparation of orders for despatch;
- Vehicle loading and unloading (hand ball and forklift);
- Liaison with Customer Services, and other internal departments, to ensure all queries/customer enquiries are resolved within service levels;
- Ensuring service standards are maintained and work processes are followed and continually monitored to be improved;
- High attention to detail.

Stock Replenishment

- Stock put away from our daily stock replenishment;
- Ensuring accuracy of stock put away into correct locations.

General

- Working in accordance with Company Health and Safety policies and procedures;
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities;
- Any other reasonable tasks as required.

Person Specification

- Flexi forklift licence desired but not essential;
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail;
- Able to work unsupervised, and plan own workload;
- Computer literate.

Hours

- Evening shift shift 1:30pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday and 10am to 6:30pm on Friday (40 hours per week)
