Record growth in London leads to new roles for senior sales team

Two of the longest serving members of Liberty Wines’ sales team have been promoted to newly created roles in response to a record increase in new customers in London. 

As Director of London Business Development, Tim Tweedy will focus on new business, key accounts and working with specific producers to build their sales while, as the new Head of London Sales, Francois Lincoln will assume full responsibility for the 10-strong team.

David Gleave MW, managing director of Liberty Wines, says: “London represents an important part of our total UK revenue and it is testament to the industry of our team that we have seen an impressive growth of 13.7% in new account openings over the past 12 months. With Tim and Francois at the helm, we are in a solid position to manage the anticipated increase in sales over the coming year and to strengthen our position within London’s premium wine market.

“Tim is one of the original team of four who established Liberty Wines over 18 years ago, while Francois has worked within our London sales team for more than 12 years, and I’m delighted to see their immense expertise and dedication rewarded with two of the biggest sales roles in the capital.”
