The industry-leading Liberty Wines Apprentice programme will begin accepting applications from Monday 15th May. Now in its eleventh year, the two-year programme sees successful candidates work two vintages with Liberty Wines’ producers and experience all aspects of the UK wine business. Since its launch in 2007, there has been a phenomenal response to the Liberty Wines Apprenticeship scheme and some outstanding candidates.
Communications Director, Luciann Flynn comments: “Education is a crucial element of customer service in the premium wine sector within which we operate, and has always been a fundamental part of our business. It builds relationships, fuels passion, and ensures total confidence in selling our wines, ultimately enhancing sales and profitability. This programme means we can develop our own team while also allowing an individual to gain skills across the company. It reflects our ongoing commitment to the future of the industry.”
In addition to the Wine Apprentice, the first Sales Apprentice graduated in early 2016 and now leads a corporate sales team – illustrating the flexibility of the apprenticeship scheme in matching individual talent and developing skills to fit business needs and opportunities.
The Apprentice will undertake the WSET Level 4 Diploma during the apprenticeship to complement the hands-on experience gained by doing a vintage in both the northern and southern hemispheres.
Applications for the 2017-19 Liberty Wines Apprentice close on 9th June. For more details on the programme and how to apply please visit: http://libertywines.co.uk/join-our-team/liberty-wines-apprentice/
